On The Fly: Louisville @ Pitt

The doubters were silenced in front of a record setting crowd of 59,0891 as the Louisville Cardinals  took down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 33-20 in one heck of a statement win in week 6. Can Jeff Bhroms’ ball club do it all again in week 7 on the road to stay undefeated? Here are our last minute thoughts on tonights big road match up for the Cards.

Pitt is coming off a bye week after a tough loss to Hokies in Blacksburg in week five despite being the 3 point favorite in that match up. While their QB Phil Jurkovec has tried to get things rolling on the offense for his team it hasn’t dont much to get going with two ACC losses by double digits.

Of course the million dollar question has been are the Cards the real deal or just a new sensation with a short shelf life that is about to take a turn? The Cards have finally found a way to play to their strengths from start to finish. Which has translated to being able to dominate on both sides of the ball. They have only allowed 20 or less points in all but two games and posting double digit victories in four of its six games to date.

Pitt is looking for a spark the question is will they be able to make it last and make some big plays on defense to keep the booming Brohm offense from taking control of the game early.

Despite Pitt changing up their QBs and Louisville having to make some changes on their reicieving corps. Plummer and this aresenal are just too much to keep with. Pitt will have some moments and get some momentum rolling at home tonight. However, the Cards are just playing more balanced ball especially on the defense. The defense will be tough to get past thru tonight for the Panthers. Give me the Cards -7 . L’s up.
